What does it take to make Islam bashers mend their ways? Why don’t these folks come to their senses and see Islam as a religion of peace and praise the God of Abraham for continuing his beneficence on humanity by sending Muhammad to guide and humanize us?
Why is it that some people keep criticizing a religion that has
nearly 1.5 billion followers throughout the world? Now, if this faith
was indeed what its detractors claim it is, wouldn’t these masses of
people see through it and dump it?
Didn’t our very own President go around the Muslim heartland and sing the praises of Islam at every stop? Didn’t he bow with great deference to the King of Islam in Saudi Arabia? Didn’t he proudly proclaim Islam as the faith of his dear and near kindred? Didn’t he, time and again, tell us that Islam is indeed the religion of peace? Didn’t he with his captivating oratory skills cite passages from the Quran to show how reverent he was toward this religion? Didn’t he appoint a raft of “devoted” Muslims to sensitive and high posts in government?
Even ignoring the President’s behavior and pronouncements, we have numberless others in the know such as politicians, media experts, academics and what nots who keep preaching to us that Islam is indeed a sanctified religion wrongly vilified by a bunch of hatemongers. After all, its very name means peace. How could anyone possibly have anything but praise for a religion called peace? What is more precious than peace?
Exacerbated, the champions of the religion of peace bemoan: what does it take to convince the detractors of Islam to stop their unceasing effort to present a distorted image of this wonderful world-encircling religion?
Well, just a few problems that makes taking the President’s remarks and actions, as well as all the other Islamic apologists and know-it-alls, difficult.
* Claiming “Islam” means “peace” is fraudulent to begin with. Islam is an Arabic word. And the word for peace in Arabic is “solh,” and not Islam. Islam is derived from the root word “taslim,” which means submission or surrender. Hence, Islam’s true name, surrender, is in fact most descriptive of what it is: total, unconditional submission and surrender of the individual and the community to the will and dictates of Allah as revealed by his “rasool,” messenger, Muhammad.
* Further proof of the fraudulent nature of billing Islam as a religion of peace is the irrefutable fact that Muhammad himself led his followers during his lifetime in 78 battles, only one of which was defensive in nature
* Perusing the religion of peace’s holy book, the Quran, taken by Muslims as the literal revelation of Allah, reads more like a manual of intolerance and war than a divinely-revealed prescription from a benevolent God for a life of brotherhood and peace.
Quran 2:216 "Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful unto you; but it may happen that you hate a thing which is good for you and it may happen that you love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knoweth, you knew not."
Quran 8:65 "O Prophet exhort the believers to fight. If there be of you 20 steadfast, they will overcome 200 and if there be of you a 100, they shall overcome a 1000, because the disbelievers are a folk without intelligence"
* Deeds speak louder than words. From its very inception, Islam was a movement of violence. Violence both within its ranks as well as against the non-Muslims has been the unceasing practice. The minute Muhammad died, jockeying for power among his disciples led to numberless murders and battles. The faith of peace never saw peace even within its own ranks and never allowed the rest of the world any peace at all by lashing out to other lands near and far.
* A quick scan of the daily news shows the adherent of the religion of peace engaged in unspeakable acts of mayhem and murder in much of the world. There is hardly any need to allude to them here. But the Islamists have an answer for that too. Islam is not responsible, they say. It is only a bunch of opportunists who commit these acts for their own political and economic objectives. We are to believe that those daily suicide bombers explode their vests in the midst of marketplaces, funeral processions, and even mosques are doing so to further their own personal agenda.
* All these aside, a recent report from the FBI estimates that of the 2000 mosques in the United States, 10% preach Jihad. Welcome to the religion of peace as it is invading the land of the free to make it the land of submission. This is not some Islam-hating crackpot group reporting. It is the FBI, an agency known for its bending backward to be politically correct in tune with the rest of the administration.
* The Muslim population is rapidly burgeoning in America by high birth rate as well as successful extensive conversion in prisons. Even by the rules of probability, a fraction of these Muslims may be deeply influenced by the Jihad preachers and take upon themselves Islamist missions of various severity and destruction. How many Jihadists did it take to pulverize the NY Trade Centers? It took one Maj. Nidal Hasan to take the life of 13 and injure 29 others in an outburst of Islamic peace-making.
* Islamist apologists come in all shades. There are true faithful who are out and out in front about it. They believe Islam and its ways are the answer. It doesn’t matter whether it is seen as good or bad by others. Then there are those who are hired mouthpieces who are like lawyers that defend a murderer to the limit of their ability simply because they are paid to do so. That’s their chosen profession. We may not like either of the above two types, yet it is understandable.
* What really is hard to deal with are those who either, through ignorance or a misplaced sense of fairness and multiculturalism, keep saying that Islam itself is not bad, the Quran contains no more violence than does the Bible, and that the moderate Muslims who are the vast majority are good people and need to do something about the criminal minority. These folks go even a step further and call those of us who sound the alarm against Islam in general, as unjustified hatemongers.
But the notion of moderate Muslims is an illusion created by the wishful thinking of a good-hearted yet deluded people. The so-called minority Jihadist-types are indeed the real Muslims. These Jihadists hate the so called moderate Muslims as much as they hate the kefirs – the infidels. And it is always the small group, the militant minority that eventually topples the complacent uncaring majority. History is replete with support of this contention.
In my view, truth and the naked truth should be the only standard. No sugar-coating, no political correctness, no hired-guns to cover up for the Islam menace that has inflicted humanity for so long and keeps marching across the globe for doing more harm.
So who is to repent? A Muslim by any other name is a Muslim. It is the human calling for every Muslim to cast off the chain of Islam and take his or her rightful place along the ranks of the truly peaceful and free people of the world.

As far as I can see Islam is not a peaceful religion and the numbers of people that wish to follow it is of no consequence other than that it makes it more powerful...not right!
America should ban Islamism as a whole and make then police themselves. Tht would make it become evident to all that they are an evil,violent group that needs to be shunned and expelled or death come to those that accept having this virus among us.

While I am not the 'thinker' that many of you are, why do Muslims leave their countries that promote their religion to the exclusion of all others to come to a country that does not identify itself at all with Islam? Jihad can be the only answer.

And this is why I cannot figure out why some Christians are insistent that our secular government school employees (teachers) on government time, ill- or untrained in any religious teachings, go anywhere near their children with matters of faith. Even Christian religions vary in practice and the teachings should be kept within the family and their chosen churches. How is forcing religion into government schools a good idea? The State should not, and is not qualified, to teach ANY type of religion. As for politicians - if your religion of choice as left you a good and moral person - fabulous. But your job in politics is to follow the Constitution in all matters of law, and protect our country from all enemies. Period. Do you feel the same way about Islam, which from my understanding is taught in the schools in California? Second, how is one to understand the Declaration of Independence without at least a simple overview of the Christian faith and natural law philosophy? Do you think it should reach the point that Christian holidays are forbidden to even be called by their name? Or do you go along with Christian students being forbidden from using their faith in reports or presentations in the secular school system?
It seems to me we have taken the concept to the illogical extreme, to the point of establishing Secular Humanism as the state established religion and creating hostility toward those of the Christian faith.
I do not think the schools should be turned into churches. But I also do not believe the students being allowed to say Merry Christmas is an infringement on the concept of separation. It can be carried to the point of downright oppression as we have seen in various instances throughout the country.

Well, you need to look at it from the perspective of a rulers. A population indoctrinated to complete submission will never defy authority. Witness the abuses occurring in most muslim nations. There is no protest at all at being deprived of all but the barest necessities of life, while the ruling class cavorts in decadent wealth at the people's expense.
And, when a single mullah issues a fatwah, these submissive people who will not lift their eyes to challenge authority will take to the streets with brutal, violent riots against anyone who challenges their leaders.
It must be very appealing to our own legislature. Imagine a population who was totally accepting of corruption and crime in the ruling class because of their submissive indoctrination. Imagine how this must look to Pelosi. It is her idea of heaven.
The Democrats have been flooding the U.S. with submissive, oppressed people from 3rd world countries for the past 60 years or so to gain a large enough vote for exactly the type of government that they were fleeing.
You see, just because someone doesn't care for something does not mean they will not propagate it again and again. How many women do you know who flee from one abuseive husband to another?
We have too many leaders to eye the middle east as the jewel of the world and they want that kind of action too. Complete liberty for themselves to pillage and plunder the nations they rule, to engage in all manner of decadence and be worshipped by the people they abuse. This, and much more, including lying to advance Islam, is the true intent of Islam. Arguments as to whether they are Islamists or just moderate muslims are meaningless. The 'religion' itself has had conquest of all non-believers ingrained into its very being since Muhammad first slaughtered those who did not see things his way. That would also include the absolute and total subjugation of women.

Whoa, wait a minute. Let's see if I have this straight.
90% -- that is, substantially ALL -- mosques in the United States do NOT preach or promote ISLAM (i.e., the MUSLIM religion)?
Islam cannot be preached without Jihad. Without Jihad, it is simply NOT Islam. It's like preaching Christianity sans the Resurrection, or Judaism or Christianity minus the Ten Commandments. Whatever interpretation, real or pretended, one gives to the practice of Jihad is irrelevant. To not preach Jihad at all - whatever the ostensible meaning - is to NOT preach Islam.
And yet 90% of American mosques just leave Jihad out? Is this what I'm being asked to believe?

If I may expand on the well thought out post by Leslie Watkins, the basis for the Protestant Reformation was indeed the death of ignorance in Europe at the time. The invention of the printing press, coupled with the populace becoming literate enabled the populace to see for themselves the teachings of Christ and his Apostles. No longer were the people required to blindly follow the dictates of church leadership, who like wolves among sheep twisted the scriptures for their own financial and political gain.
Who invented the concept of separation of church and state? It was Christ himself, who commanded 'render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's'. The truth is the Christian God is the author of human liberty, who under no circumstances want people's worship out of compulsion. But rather, worship out of love and gratitude.
I have set before you life and death, and I beseech you to choose life. The difference is Allah is a tyrant, Christ is a liberator.

Until the followers of any cult can prove that its tenants are not destructive to the American culture and our citizens, it should not be allowed to propagate in this country.
IF Nazism, Fascism, Communism, could claim the trappings of a religion would we be forced to accept and respect their dogma? Or would our latent desire of Liberty lead us to reject or even ban them.
Islam could be seen as a front for all three of these.

Thank you Lennie, I strongly suspected there was something like that going on (Peace Vs.submission). My qualifications are limited to being a Bible student (familiar with cognate terms), and some further study of linguistics, it begged for some such explanation. Languages often bring insights, as well as often hiding and camouflaging denials, as in Spanish, 'se me cayO' , meaning 'it fell itself from me' not I dropped it or I let it fall.
