A Message to the People of Norway

Category: Our Archive

“Children of Adam are akin to members of a body; if a member suffers, thus suffers the entire body,” a Persian poet (Sa’di) expressed it best, centuries ago.

We Iranians and Iranian-Americans are deeply saddened by the savage action of a deranged individual (Anders Behring Breivik) who, on a rampage of rage, took the life of members of our human family in Norway.

A Conversation with Journalist Lisa Daftari

Our Archive
Category: Our Archive

Introduction: Since the fraudulent June 12th, 2009 Presidential Election in the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), an increasingly emboldened opposition, the Green Movement, has arisen to demand the overthrow of the IRI. The Green Movement refuses to desist from launching massive street protests in Tehran, and other major Iranian cities. All this is occurring despite violence wreaked upon thousands of valiant regime opponents by the ruling Mullahs and President Ahmadinejad.

To explore these emerging revolutionary prospects in Iran, I turned to Lisa Daftari, an Iranian-American award-winning journalist with expertise in counterterrorism and the Middle East, particularly in Iranian affairs. Daftari has been in the forefront of communicating the important views of the Iranian opposition via her brilliant writing and commentary, as well as facilitating communications from within Iran to the world media.

The Death of One Osama

Our Archive

“Bin Laden is Killed,” headlines blanketed the world, a few days ago. Many  rejoiced and felt justice was served while a few mourned the mass murderer’s demise. Celebration and mourning aside, the fact is that the death of one demon does not mark the end of the evil of Islamism. In the same way that it is in the nature of swamps to breed mosquitoes, Islam is the incubator of jihadist mass murderers.

In a statement, Al-Qaeda has praised the “sheikh” as a hero by proclaiming shamelessly: where else would one expect a warrior of Allah be martyred other than on the battlefield? Some kind of battlefield, indeed. The sheikh was battling from the trenches of a million dollar mansion in the secure bosom of the duplicitous Pakistani military, served by a raft of servants, and living with only three of his wives while dispatching homicide bombers to Allah’s paradise where seventy-two virgins, as promised in the Quran and Hadith, are breathlessly awaiting the arrival of the fools who have carried out mass murder on Allah’s behalf.
